TERMS & CONDITIONS

Her Edit Collective

Please ensure you have read and fully understand the following Terms and Conditions before hiring from Her Edit Collective. By proceeding with a booking or purchase through our website or store, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS

  • You agree to treat all garments with the utmost care, as if they were your own.
  • You must take precautions to avoid stains (including but not limited to fake tan, drinks, sunscreen, perfume, deodorant and makeup).
  • Fake tan is worn at your own discretion. We recommend applying fake tan at least 48 hours prior to your event to minimise transfer.
  • The garment must be for your personal use only and remain in your possession for the entire hire period.
  • The garment must not be altered, tailored, washed or dry cleaned by you.

Returns – Online Orders

  • Garments must be returned in the provided pre-paid express satchel.
  • The parcel must be lodged at an Australia Post outlet by 4:00pm on the final day of your hire period.
  • We strongly recommend lodging over the counter to receive proof of lodgement.

Returns – Local Customers

  • Return the garment in the provided bag.
  • After hours: Use the drop box located at the front door using the provided access code.

2. CLEANING

  • Professional dry cleaning is included in your hire fee.
  • By accepting these Terms, you agree not to attempt to clean, wash, iron, press or alter garments.
  • All garments are professionally steamed prior to dispatch or collection.
  • If minor creasing occurs in transit, garments may be lightly steamed on low heat or hung in a steamy bathroom.

3. REFUNDS

You are entitled to a full refund (including postage) if:

  • The item arrives in unacceptable condition.
  • The incorrect item is sent.
  • The item is significantly different from its description.
  • The item arrives too late to be worn for your event (excluding last-minute orders as defined below).

Refund requests must be made within 24 hours of delivery.

Refunds will only be processed once the item has been returned and inspected. Refunds will not be granted if the garment has been
worn.

4. LAST-MINUTE ORDERS

Orders placed less than 3 full business days before the selected delivery date (cut-off 12pm Sydney time) are considered last-minute.

For last-minute orders:

  • You may receive either:

A full credit note, OR If we believe the item is unlikely to arrive in time, we may
contact you to accept delivery risk. If we choose not to dispatch, a full
refund will be issued.

Australia Post delivery timeframes are not guaranteed.

5. RETURNS (CHANGE OF MIND)

Returns for change of mind, incorrect size selection or unsuitable fit are not offered.

It is your responsibility to ensure the correct size and style are booked. We are happy to provide sizing guidance prior to booking.

6. CANCELLATIONS

Full Refund

You are entitled to a full refund if:

  • Cancellation is requested within 24 hours of placing the order AND it is more than 72 hours before the booking start date AND the item has not been dispatched;
    OR
  • Cancellation is requested 21 or more days before the booking start date.

Credit Note

  • If cancellation is made 14–20 days before the booking start date, you will receive a full credit note including postage.

No refunds or credits apply for cancellations made less than 14 days before the booking start date.

7. LATE RETURNS

  • A late fee of $30 per day applies for each day the garment is overdue.
  • A grace period of 1–2 days may be granted at our discretion if it does not
    affect future bookings.
  • By accepting these Terms, you authorise Her Edit Collective to charge late fees to the original payment method.

8. DAMAGED OR STOLEN ITEMS

Minor makeup or tan marks are expected and professionally
treated.

If damage occurs:

  • DO NOT attempt to clean or repair the garment.
  • Notify us immediately and provide photo evidence.

Repairable Damage

If a garment can be repaired:

  • You will be charged the repair cost.
  • Additional charges may apply if delays impact future bookings.

Irreparable Damage or Non-Return

If a garment is:

  • Damaged beyond repair, OR
  • Permanently stained, OR
  • Lost, stolen, or not returned

You will be charged:

  • The full Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of the garment
  • PLUS a $150 replacement administration fee

The full RRP will be charged to the card used for the original payment 14 days after the return due date unless alternative arrangements are agreed in writing.

 

9. SHIPPING DETAILS

  • Online orders are shipped via Australia Post Express, including return satchel.
  • Orders should be placed at least 5 days prior to your event.
  • Garments must be returned using the provided packaging and label.

Her Edit Collective is not responsible for items returned via Australia Post Boxes that are not scanned or lost in transit.

If you choose to return via a Post Box and the item is lost or untraceable, you accept full responsibility and will be charged the RRP of the garment.

 

10. FAULTY PURCHASED ITEMS

If a purchased item is faulty:

  • Notify us within 24 hours with photo evidence.
  • We may request return for inspection.
  • If approved, a full refund (including postage) will be issued.
  • If replacement is requested but unavailable, a full refund will be provided.
